#MORETHANBASEBALL
Natural Baseball Academy is about more than just baseball instruction.
We are a family and care about our athletes on and off the field. We try to get to know our athletes and create relationships that last beyond the player’s final game in a NBA uniform. We talk a lot about what players need to do academically to reach their goals and how that discipline will be used throughout life.
We do have teams beginning as early at 8u and continue thru 18u. The goal is to be the player’s choice for their baseball experience, and by creating relationships that last, we have seen multiple players literally grow up in our program.

Clark Jones
Director of NBA Baseball
Clark Jones, founder of Natural Baseball Academy in 2007, has 20+ years of experience as a hitting instructor and coach. Clark’s extensive experience includes working with all ages – from youth players just starting their baseball journey all the way up to experienced collegiate athletes. Clark is a graduate of SM West High School. He was recruited as a multi-sport athlete and ultimately chose baseball for his college career. Clark earned All-Conference Honors in both ’94 and ’95 at Allen County Community College where he led the team in doubles, home runs and RBIs in ’95. Clark went on to Iowa State University (ISU) where he was a 2 year starter in the outfield and was named Team Offensive Player of the year in ’97 after leading the team in RBIs and coming in 2nd on the team in home runs. At ISU, Clark is currently ranked in the Top 10 all-time for career home runs and in the Top 5 all-time for single season home runs. Clark’s hitting philosophy: “I’m a firm believer in helping hitters learn to ‘feel’ their swing throughout the instruction process. Although a good baseball swing may look similar across all ages, every hitter’s feel is unique to each individual.” The Jones family has been involved in baseball in Johnson County for more than 50 years, and has helped 225+ players find collegiate homes in the last 15 years. Clark has 2 children. His son – Cannon – is a multi-sport athlete and is currently a part of the NBA program. His daughter – Jaydy – cheers for her brother from the stands for now but looks forward to being involved in the Little Champions Developmental Program at Homefield as soon as she turns 4.

Testimonials
For the past 8 years of my life, Natural Baseball Academy has served as a second home for not only myself but my brother and teammates as well. The community that Coach Jones and Kacey provide for all the players is unlike any other. You never feel as though you are just another player to Coach Jones, you feel like you are a part of a family. His door and all of the coaches’ doors are always open and they are always willing to talk to you about anything. It could be baseball-related or not, he will sit down and listen to you on any topic, big or small. There were many times throughout my career when I needed someone to talk to and Coach Jones was always willing to listen to me and hear me out on whatever topic it might have been. In the end, it is truly greater than baseball. Coach Jones provides a place that is full of support for young men to find themselves and continually grow, not only as baseball players but as young men. The impact that Natural Baseball Academy and the Jones family have made on me and my family will truly last a lifetime.
For 10 years I wore the Red and Black of NBA. It was and still is the home of my youth development, and without NBA I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. From the time I arrived to the time I left I was surrounded by nothing but good people, people with the same common goal that I had. I believe that’s because of the culture that the Jones family had implemented in the academy which stuck through all 10 of those years. NBA was my second home, and even at some points I felt it was my first home. And playing under coach Jones all of that time, was the reason I was able to step foot on a power 5 campus to play. NBA is the place where all of us athletes went to workout, hit, and throw, But the reason we went was because the culture there was so established, you felt as if it was one big family. So I chose NBA not just for the baseball or the facilities, but the relationships with the coaches, players, and many more, which will stick forever.
Playing at NBA has opened countless doors and opportunities for me. NBA gave me the tools to be successful both on the field and in the weight room, but it also gave me opportunities to grow socially and spiritually. Coach Jones welcomes everyone daily and he and the rest of the staff at NBA are a huge reason I am where I am today.

I proudly wore an NBA uniform from my first year in 2011 all the way to my last in the summer of 2021. For all 11 years of my tenure, I was surrounded and embraced with nothing but love and generosity. Coach Jones not only holds his players to a standard, but works relentlessly with them to ensure they are getting the best out of themselves. I chose to stay at NBA all those years because there was a very established culture that gave me the feeling of a second family and home. NBA will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am very grateful and humbled for the opportunity to have played for Coach Jones for so many years.
Our oldest son joined Natural Baseball Academy at 15u. My only regret was him not joining sooner. Along with outstanding baseball instruction and training, the family atmosphere that NBA creates was more than we could have hoped for. They developed a place that he felt a part of that helped him grow both on and off the field. He had played for another organization prior to NBA and the differences in their approaches were night and day.
Our family has been a proud member of Natural Baseball Academy for the past 13 years. We chose Natural Baseball Academy because of their exceptional commitment to developing players both on and off the field. The unique family-first approach prioritizes the well-being and development of both players and their families. The personalized coaching, state-of-the-art facilities, and supportive environment have been instrumental in helping our family achieve our baseball goals. Natural Baseball Academy, led by Scott Jones, truly stands out for its dedication to nurturing talent and fostering a love for the game.
After experiences with other clubs around KC, we knew we found our baseball home for our sons when we met Coach Jones. NBA’s experienced coaching staff, exclusive college camps and their ability to navigate the recruitment world in a personal way gives NBA the edge. We’re excited about the future of Natural Baseball Academy!
I can’t imagine sending my boys to play for anyone other than NBA. Being a high school coach, I know the value of development throughout the players life both as players and young men. Scott and the coaches at NBA believe in that philosophy of creating great baseball players and more importantly great young men. The staff is committed to providing excellent instruction and providing an environment where young men can develop into the best players they can be. They truly care for their players and will do all they can for the boys. I wish that culture existed at all of the baseball clubs in the area, but it does not, and those core values are what makes NBA special.
Why we chose NBA for our baseball family, because it’s just that, a baseball family. 8 years ago we made the decision to start our oldest in competitive baseball. Friends of ours had joined NBA a year earlier and had great things to say about NBA and the Jones family so we checked it out. From the first time meeting Scott Jones and hearing how he runs his organization we knew we were in the right place. It’s a family feel. He genuinely cares about the young men and their families. You also get a very hands on approach where Scott is involved in the coaching preparation as well as on field coaching. You don’t see that everywhere. If your son has a dream of playing high school and college baseball at any level, Scott has the perfect program for your son that will push him to always be better as a player but also as a person.
